A few words with Mathilde de Ramel
Who are you ?
Mathilde de Ramel, International Export Manager of ”By the Dutch”, fell into the world of rum as a child like Obelix. “By the Dutch” was born back in 2015 with the mission to bring spirits with a Dutch heritage back in the spotlight. “By the Dutch” represents education, high quality, tradition and history. It is a brand built around the Dutch East-indian trading company (VOC). We are currently exported in more than 25 countries.
Can you tell us a few words on the brands you are presenting in Paris?
We will be showcasing By the Dutch Batavia Arrack rum. This rum from Indonesia was loaded in the boats heading back to the Netherlands. The bottle with approx. 2.5 meters of jute rope wrapped by-hand around each neck should make you think about travels and ships sailing in and out with barrels of Old Genever and Batavia Arrack rum.
Why having choosen Rhum Fest Paris to exhibit ?
We have been exhibiting in Rhum Fest with Bruant Distribution (French Importer) since the beginning. The Festival is the most important Rum Fair in France. It is a key moment for us during the year to meet professional clients and final consumers. We are looking forward to a successful new edition!
