A few words with Paul Rutasikwa

Who are you ?

Paul Rutasikwa, Head Distiller and co-founder (along with my wife Jacine) of Matugga Distillers Limited. We produce a distinctive range of golden and spiced artisan rums – all fermented, distilled, matured and bottled at our family-owned distillery in Livingston, Scotland.

Can you tell us a few words on the brands you are presenting in Paris ?

We will be presenting our Matugga Rum range of golden and spiced artisanal rums:

Matugga Golden Rum (42°) Matured in carefully selected oak casks, with an intriguing smoky character that is full of evocative, juicy tropical fruit notes.

Matugga Spiced Rum (42°) Subtly infused with a tantalising age-old Masala Chai blend of black tea, fresh ginger and fragrant natural spices.
Matugga Rum Mavuno 2018 (46°) A carefully crafted acacia-cask special limited edition rum that is full of surprises. Launching in France in October 2019.
